Complete the refurbishment of one of the main arteries of communication between Aguilas, Lorca and Almeria (01/06/2010)

The Minister of Public Works and Planning, José Ballesta, accompanied by the mayor of Eagle, Juan Ramirez, today inaugurated the work of the highway RM-D24, an artery of communication between the towns of Aguilas and Lorca with Almeria.

Councilor José Ballesta, said: "The improvement of this road, which has been a regional investment of 602,666 euros, is already an increase road safety on a path along which about 900,000 vehicles a year, of which 70,000 are heavy vehicles, a measure that helps reduce the risk of accidents on our roads also lead to better competitiveness for local businesses. "

Thus, the conditioning done, which affected a stretch of six kilometers from the hamlet of Los Arejos Lorca and Aguilas motorway (RM-11), benefit the flow of traffic, especially goods from mining developed in the hamlet of Los Arejos and farming in the area of the Region of Murcia and Almeria.
