This weekend Puerto Deportivo Juan Montiel hosted the VIII Spanish Championship of Fishing Selections from Kayak, absolute category, an event organized by the Spanish Federation of Fishing and Casting and is organized by the Fisheries Federation of the Region of Murcia in collaboration with the Juan Montiel Marina.
By regional selections, the Valencia Community rises with the championship, followed by the Region of Murcia and the Principality of Asturias.
The podium, in singles, is taken by the Andalusians.
The Region of Murcia rose with the money only behind the Valencian Community, which obtained gold and ahead of the Principality of Asturias that obtained the bronze.
The Murcianos Jesus Valero Ruiz, Miguel Belchi Martinez and Pedro Pertegal Montesinos were in Seventh, Ninth and Thirteenth positions, respectively.
The podium was taken over by the Almerians José Antonio Bernabé Coll, José Manuel Berruego Piedra and Juan Javier Úbeda Cuenca.
The Alicante Silvia Penadés Peidró, only female representative in the competition, was in sixty ninth position.
The event attracted more than 300 people to Águilas, including participants and companions, who were able to enjoy the leisure and climate of the town.
