Last weekend the events commemorating the 85th Anniversary of the One Kilometer Route through Andalusia took place (12/06/2018)

The events, developed by the Scout Group Severo Montalvo de Águilas, were intended to evoke and show respect to the great feat that was carried out by 7 aquiline explorers in 1933 belonging to the former Troop.

They made a walking route through Murcia, Almería, Granada and Córdoba, walking a total of one thousand kilometers.

Never in the world of scouting has similar emulation been emulated.

On Saturday morning, four members of the current scout group left from Uleila del Campo, Almería, with a sense of Aguilas, following the first two days of those thousand kilometers, but in the opposite direction.

On Sunday they arrived in San Juan de los Terreros, and they were joined by 6 scouts from Severo Montalvo and a sculpture from the Scout Group Ciudad de Sol de Lorca.

At 12 o'clock they were received at the entrance of the Francisco Rabal House of Culture under a corridor of refrains.

Ending in a day and a morning 64km in total.

The arrival was as an act price to the presentation of the book: "THOUSAND KILOMETERS FOR ANDALUCIA: THE GLORIOUS HAZAÑA DE UNAOS AGUILEÑOS EXPLORADORES" by Pedro Francisco Sánchez Albarracín, historian and aquiline researcher who has rescued from the past the book that was published 85 years ago, reviewing and expanding it with two journals of the route, with which you can have a broader view of it.

As well as a large number of documents published in the press of that time.

The presentation was attended by a large number of friends, supporters and lovers of history.

The author was presented with the presence of Lucía Ana Hernández, Councilor for Culture, Ginés Desiderio Navarro, Councilor for Tourism, Daniel López Ferrer, President of the Federation of Explorers of Murcia, Noemí González, Vice President and José María López Lacárcel. Official Chronicler of the same federation.

They also attended members of the Scout Group Ciudad del Sol de Lorca, including its coordinator Pedro Enrique Llamas Fernández.

Pedro Francisco Sánchez Albarracín, spoke about the book and its historical context, as well as a large number of anecdotes as brushstrokes of what we can find inside.

After the presentation, the Scout Group Severo Montalvo made promises scouts in the Infanta Doña Elena auditorium, where seven new members of the group were able to formalize their commitment to leave a better world than we found it, always ready to serve.

After these acts, a party was organized by the Gray Wolf Clan in order to raise money for two major activities this summer: The Roverway in Holland (an eight-day European camp) and the summer camp of the group in Vinuesa, Soria
