Promúsica will kick off its 2018-19 concert season with Beethoven's novena (10/09/2018)

The auditorium Infanta Elena de Águilas hosted this weekend the presentation of the concert season 2018-2019 of the Promúsica Association, in a press conference in which were present the mayor of Águilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, the mayor of Culture, Lucía Hernández, the poster designer, Isabel López, and the president of Promúsica, Juan Carlos Sánchez Renovales.

After the intervention of the mayor Lucía Hernández, who encouraged the Association to continue betting on Culture, Sánchez Renovales took the floor, who briefly explained the programming that Promúsica has prepared for this season.

"It will begin on October 19 with a great concert by the Symphony Orchestra of the Region of Murcia, led by Virginia Martinez, which will feature choir and soloists, so that will be on the stage of the Auditorium almost 200 people to delight with the Ninth Symphony of Beethoven The closing of the season will also be spectacular, since we will say goodbye with a Great Lyric Anthology Gala of the Zarzuela, also with choir and renowned soloists ".

And, as in the previous six seasons, Promúsica has counted for this year with a cast of top-level artists, in which we can see international figures such as Minha Park, Vivian Cheng, James Guam, Peter and Patrick Jablonski, Kyoung Joo Sung, Vladimir Mondrin, Isabel Villanueva, Gabriel Escudero and Olga Huber, among others.

The musicians of our land will also play, a bet that, year after year, Promúsica renews with more force, counting on this occasion with Gonzalo Meseguer, Ángel Francisco López, and the international aquiline violinist Laura Rodríguez, who this year will play no less than the Musikverein of Vienna.

As for the symphony orchestras, that of the Region of Murcia will have the greater protagonism, although the one of Cartagena and Almeria will also act;

all of them will be directed by their owners, Virginia Martínez and Michael Thomas, and also by world-renowned guest conductors such as Leonardo Martínez, Salvador Brotons, Felix Ardanás and Diego Naser.

If you want to enjoy this extensive program, season tickets are already on sale at Viajes Victoria and at the Association's headquarters, at the same price as last year, 90 euros for adults and 45 for children and students.

An important fact this year is that the concerts will begin at eight thirty in the afternoon, to allow the subscribers and assistants to go to dinner later.

As of Easter, the spring-summer schedule will start, beginning at nine o'clock at night.

But already from the first concert on October 19 the attendees will benefit from this new fall-winter schedule at eight thirty.

This splendid programming has a high cost that would not be possible to assume without the support of the sponsors, the subscribers and, of course, the City Council of Águilas, which also makes the Auditorium available to Promúsica.

Precisely, in his speech, the mayor of Águilas, reaffirmed the Consistory's commitment to continue supporting Promúsica as one of the pillars of the aquiline culture.

"We will continue, without any doubt, supporting the culture in Águilas and, as it could not be otherwise, to associations like Promúsica that play an important role in the cultural development of our locality".

The seasonal poster, like all the Promúsica posters, is the work of designer Isabel López, a member of the Association's executive, who wanted to thank her for her collaboration in the creative process of the posters for architect José Luis González Cobelo.

Under the slogan "The great music and the sea," the poster announces Aquiline Auditorium, hit by an inspiring wave, which is the hair of a muse.
