The City of Águilas, through the Department of the Environment, appeals to all citizens who want to collaborate in the Community Action of the cleaning of plastic waste on the beaches of the Marina de Cope for the next day 6 of December.
In this initiative a large number of associations collaborate, such as Arrecife, ANSE, Naturactúa, Ecologists in Action, Marine Association interests us, Association for active marine tourism interests us, European Environment and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints .

Before the collection of plastics will give an introductory talk on the problem and some guidelines to follow for the collection, especially of microplastics.
The objective is not only to collect the plastics that the torrential rains have dragged to the coastline in recent days, it is also to raise awareness about the damage that plastic waste causes in the environment, especially the microplastics that are incorporated into the chain trophic, ending in ourselves.
