The Exhibition Space Plan brings the work of Ester Travel to the Águilas Auditorium (05/12/2018)

The Ministry of Tourism and Culture organizes three new exhibitions in guilas, Alcantarilla and Blanca that is part of the Exhibition Space Plan launched by the regional government to promote the work of the creators of the Region of Murcia.

The exhibition hall of the Auditorium and Conference Center 'Infanta Doa Elena' of guilas hosts the Ester Travel exhibition entitled 'Hystrie: Nouvelle Iconographie' until 11 January (during visits from Tuesday to Sunday).

This project by the artist from Murcia started from a 19th century image in which a woman diagnosed with hysteria was shown as a study phenomenon by Dr. Jean Martin Charcot, who in that same photograph held the woman tightly by the forearm while I was waiting for the camera shot.

The search for the origin of that scene and the reflections that emerged during the process were shaping a project full of references from authors, thinkers and sources from different eras.

Through the reworking of the photographic source, the approval of the hysterical iconography, the reinterpretation and the self-representation, the creator has managed to bring in some way those scenes to the present, bringing them closer to her own experience and to her own body, and she does it to through drawings, oil paintings and also photographic pieces.

In the Cayitas de Alcantarilla House the work of Miguel Pujante is also exposed until December 28 (from Monday to Friday).

Under the title 'Ripped Realism', the painter and also Murcian writer gathers some of the oils made during the last years, in which he shows his commitment to reality and to his own painting.

And he does it through realistic portraits of figures sometimes with a blurred face, in addition to other works that reflect his particular look on everyday objects such as a decanter, a plug or a small boat containing a brush.

In some of the works of Pujante highlights the use of the spatula, but as it goes into the representation of the human body in the most current creations, the brush is gaining prominence, appearing new resources such as scraping or elimination of previously painted areas, in addition to a richer chromatic range not only centered in the grays.

The last of the exhibitions organized for this week within the Exhibition Space Plan is 'Bendita blasfemia', by the painter and sculptor Miguel ngel Lara, which will open its doors this Friday, December 7, in the Black Center of Blanca.

The exhibition will remain open until January 7, from Thursday to Sunday.

This project by the young artist from La Blanca focuses on the intervention of religious images to turn them, through a vibrant chromatic range, into a sort of icons of pop culture.

Works with which Lara intends, also with a touch of humor, stir consciences and convey a message that goes beyond the cult.
