350 school children from 2nd grade of Primary have received safety and prevention training when traveling by bus (07/12/2018)

Mari Carmen Moreno, mayor of Águilas, and Juan Francisco Gómez, general director of Grupo Orbitalia, have presented, at the Joaquín Tendero school, the First Orbitalia Campaign for Safety and Prevention in the Transport of Minors, which has trained in safety and security techniques. preventive measures when traveling by bus to more than three hundred boys and girls in the municipality of Águilas.

In this campaign, which has been developed during the last weeks in our municipality and that will later take place in Puerto Lumbreras and Lorca, the students of the second grade of elementary school from nine different schools participated.

These children, between 7 and 8 years old, received a small formative talk from the Orbitalia staff, where they highlighted in a fun and entertaining the various security measures that have buses, basic rules of behavior and some curiosities about these striking vehicles.

Subsequently, the students made a small tour where they put into practice what they learned.

In addition, on returning to the school, the children were given material to participate in a drawing contest in which, filling the silhouette of a bus, they chose to win a trip for the entire class of the winner or winner. a destination of your choice in a vehicle specially printed for the occasion in the image and likeness of the winning drawing.

During the event, the mayor referred to the importance of "raising awareness of our children about the importance of putting these safety measures into practice when traveling on public transport", while thanking Orbitalia for the implementation of " this magnificent initiative. "
