Last Friday, coinciding with the twentieth anniversary of the founding of Looije, the official inauguration of the new factory that the company has installed in the town took place;
an act that was attended, among others, by the mayor, Mari Carmen Moreno;
the Minister of Water, Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Miguel ngel del Amor;
the owners of the company, Jochen Looije and Anne Beekenkamp;
the general director of Looije, Juan Jos Lpez;
as well as a large part of the workers of the same.
The new warehouse, which has involved an investment of five million euros, covers an area of 4,600 meters, of which 3,600 correspond to the handling warehouse.
In figures - assured the director of Looije- "this new factory will allow us to double our production in the next five years, going from the current five million kilos to almost twelve million, which will also mean a significant increase in the workforce that will increase the two hundred current workers to five hundred in a maximum term of five years ".
For its part, the mayor described as "pride for guilas have this new warehouse.From the City we have supported and bet on this project from the start.We are convinced that one of the lines of work of public administration should consist of giving facilities to entrepreneurs because they are the ones who create work and generate wealth. "
