The strike in Águilas registered a decrease of 61 people in the month of December (04/01/2019)

The mayor of Local Development, Ginés Desiderio Navarro, has reported that the strike in the town has recorded a decline in the month of December, 61 people over the month of November from 2,303 to 2,248 unemployed, as reflected by the latest published data by the Employment and Training Service of the Region of Murcia SEF.

The mayor stressed that the data are clear and reflect a downward trend that is also reflected in the interannual data in which in December 2018 there was also a decrease, compared to 2017, of something more than fifty people .

In this sense, the councilor recalled that, although it is true that the municipalities do not have skills in matters of job creation, what they can is to work to provide incentives to entrepreneurs who want to settle in the locality all the necessary facilities part of the local administration.

Finally, Navarro underlined "the commitment of this Government Team to continue working on policies that result in improvements for all residents of Águilas".
