The PCE begins the new year calling "the offensive for the conquest of social and labor rights" (16/01/2019)

The aquiline core of the Communist Party of Spain (PCE) held last Sunday an act of fraternization in which laid the foundations of the work to be developed this year.

On Sunday, some thirty activists and supporters of the Communist Party held at the Zafiro bar an act of fraternization with which they began what they hope will be "a 2019 protest."

Before starting with lunch and tasting wine organized for the occasion, there was a turn of political interventions.

First, he spoke on behalf of the local core of the PCE Pedro López, aquiline and responsible Organization of the UJCE-RM.

He affirmed that "the Communist Party is in Águilas a rising political force, which in just a few months has incorporated twenty new members and has consolidated its organizational structure."

He announced in his speech what will be one of the axes of the political proposal of the aquiline communists in the coming months.

"We have prepared a campaign with which we want to reach the different work centers of the agricultural sector, to make workers aware of their labor rights, which unfortunately are violated daily in many companies."

He then addressed the audience Isabel María Torrente, councilor in the City of Águilas and mayoral candidate for Izquierda Unida-Verdes.

He made a tour of his work this term in front of the councils of Equality, Environment and Consumption, which said "we can not allow us to take away the great progress we have achieved."

And he took the opportunity to present the II Aloe Fest to be held in Águilas next Saturday, January 19th.

This festival of art and culture combines presentations on the Environment, a market, children's entertainment, concerts and a solidary meal among other activities.

Lastly, José Ángel Durán, general secretary of the Communist Party of the Region of Murcia, intervened.

In his speech, he countered "the improvement in macroeconomic figures of the national economy" with "the drama of precariousness, unemployment and totally unjust social conditions that live in their day to day the most humble people in our society."

He denounced that since "there are no investments in our land for years, because for our capital our people are not profitable, condemning us to stagnation".

Faced with this situation, Duran called on the communist militancy "to be with the workers, to be part of the conflict to become a useful tool for the sectors affected by the crisis."

In the event, the recently deceased José Antonio Pujante, former regional deputy and former regional coordinator of IUVRM, was honored.

About him, Isabel María Torrente said in his speech that "besides being an honest person and a good teacher, he is an example of an honest and humble politician".

The next appointments marked in the PCE calendar will be the feminist rally on Tuesday, January 15 at 12 o'clock in the Plaza de España (Águilas) and the mobilizations promoted by the unions CC.OO and UGT on February 8 to demand Pedro Sánchez the repeal of the 2012 labor reform and the pension reform of 2013.
