The attractions of Águilas for the practice of sports activities in the natural environment have become the main protagonists of the stand of the Region in the XXXIX edition of the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) held in Madrid.

The presentation of the video "Águilas, por caminos naturales", a production of the Aguileña Libélula company in which the recently inaugurated Network of Natural Trails has been presented, as well as the possibilities of the natural environment for the practice of cycling, both in the mountains of road, has achieved the applause of all the attending public, among which were the mayor of Águilas, Mari Carmen Moreno;

the councilors of Tourism and Sports, Ginés Desiderio Navarro and Cristobal Casado;

the director of the Tourism Institute, Manuel Fernández-Delgado;

or the president of the Peñas Federation, José Alonso.

Another activity that Águilas has been able to boast this morning has been the election of the municipality to host the next year the Military Triathlon World Championship, which will be held next year.

But if there is something that year after year becomes the focus of all eyes is undoubtedly the Eagles Carnival, represented in Ifema by Don Carnal, Doña Cuaresma, La Musa and Mussona, as well as by the Official Ballet of the Federation of Peñas that made their entrance after the presentation of the Carnival of Águilas Regatta.

A sporting event for sail cruises that will be scoring for the Autonomous Cruise Championship and the Spanish Cup ORC.

Carnival events have given way to a sample of aquiline gastronomy in collaboration with the Hotel and Tourism Association of Águilas (Hosteaguilas).

The prawn, all attendees have been able to taste white and red shrimp from the aquiline coast.

Parallel to these actions has developed a tight schedule of professional meetings aimed at the sale of tourism products focused on our town.
