The mayor of Culture, Lucia Hernandez, recently released the statistical data, referring to activities and inflow to them, the House of Culture Francisco Rabal and, as happened last year, the assessment has been very positive.
The mayor has accounted for 17% growth of public registered in this aquiline building.
Thus, the councilor has indicated that in 2018 a total of 27,497 people have made use of the different dependencies of the House of Culture (without including the Library) compared to 23,444 they did in 2017. The assembly hall has it has been the place with the greatest number of visitors, specifically 22,185 people who have attended mostly theatrical performances (10,274), festivals and concerts (2,926) and assemblies and screenings (2,858).
The Manuel Coronado exhibition hall has also been another space that has seen a significant increase in visitors, from 3,176 in 2017 to 3,268 in 2018.
With regard to the programmed activities, in the recently completed 2018, 342 activities were carried out compared to 226 in 2017, which translates into an increase of 52%, the highest in recent years.
Regarding this increase, the mayor has concluded by showing his satisfaction "for the good reception of the public to a cultural program that, year after year, has the objective not only to increase in quality but also to reach all audiences, covering all styles and likes. "
