More than 70 people from Abarán and Águilas participate in the 1st Senior Cultural Meeting held in Águilas.
A different way of knowing the place of the hand of those who know more about the city, besides promoting ties of friendship between the participating localities.
In Encuentro, which took place on April 26, arises thanks to the support of the council of the Third Age of the City of Águilas, the cultural association "The new divine", the Orbitalia Group and the Águilas Plaza Shopping Center.
The day began with the welcome of Encarna Navarro, councilor of the Third Age, to the group of Abarán in the center "Antonio Sicilia Segura" where all the participants exchanged gifts and enjoyed a breakfast.
Then the tour began in different areas of Águilas such as the Tren Machine, the Hornillo and the Port to continue with a tasting of cheese by the hand of Felix Cano.
After lunch, performance of the Choir of the Third Age, dance, screening of the Carnival with a deluxe speaker, Gema Simó, manager of the Águilas Plaza Shopping Center and, as a closing, tasting of cuerva.
A day of coexistence where the elders were the real protagonists guiding their companions of Abarán and teaching them the most emblematic places of the city.
Now it is pending to visit Abarán and know the place of the hand of those who know more, their elders.
