The acting mayor, Mari Carmen Moreno, has announced that the tender is already in process whose object of contract is the provision of the service consisting of "drafting the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (PMUS)";
an action framed within the strategy of sustainable and integrated urban development guilas Sostenible, co-financed by 80% by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), through the Multiannual Operational Program of Spain 2014-2020.
"One of our priority commitments, which will also mark our work strategy in the next four years, is sustainable urban mobility, aimed at improving mobility in the urban area, as well as the gradual implementation of a modality that reduces emissions of greenhouse gases, "said the acting mayor.
In this sense, it is worth mentioning that the main objective of the EULilas PMUS is the proposal of a set of actions within the municipal area, where the reduction of individual transport (private vehicle) is prioritized in favor of non-motorized forms of travel (walking , bicycle, etc.) and facilitating, when possible, the use of collective modes of transport.
It should be noted that the Urban Mobility Plan will include a circulation plan and structure of the road network;
a parking plan;
a plan for improvements and transformation of the urban public space;
a mobility management plan;
a plan for the transformation of public transport;
a cyclist mobility plan that will include cycling itineraries on boarding promenades;
a road safety plan;
a plan of pedestrian itineraries that will allow the pedestrianization of different points of the locality;
or the strategy for the implementation of the Smart Mobility platform, among other measures.
