For the fourth consecutive year, the Milana Bonita Association presented its “Nazarín†and “Azarías†prizes on Saturday for the best junior and senior performances, respectively, of the XVI National Contest of Amateur Theater “Paco Rabalâ€, organized by the Department of Culture of Águilas Town Hall.
Milana Bonita conceived these awards to remember, on the one hand, the interpretation of Paco Rabal in Nazarín (Buñuel 1959) who, with only 33 years, jumped to internationality;
and on the other, the rise to the universe of cinematographic myths in his role as Azarías (Los Santos Inocentes. Mario Camus, 1984).
On this occasion, the "Nazarin Prize" has fallen to actress Laura Lorenzo Orts for her role as Doña Imelda in the play Huanita -of the Theater company under construction- who also received the first prize of the contest.
And as far as the "Azarías Prize" is concerned, he went to Luisfer Ramírez for his role as Mr. Thénardier in the play Los Miserables - by Barbarie Teatro -, also awarded the second prize.
