On Tuesday starts a series of lectures on maritime archaeological heritage of Eagles (04/03/2016)

On Tuesday March 8 will start in the town cycle "Eagles and maritime archaeological heritage", a project developed by the Department of Culture and the Chair of Naval History at the University of Murcia in which three conferences will be developed that will complete with a photo and painting exhibition on the ship Juan Sebastian Elcano.

During the presentation press conference, held yesterday at the local council, the mayor of Culture stressed that "the main objective is to show maritime heritage related aspects with special mention of our coast."

For his part, José Asensio, project coordinator, stressed the importance of disseminating this heritage and ensured that the three conferences to be held in the city from 8 to 10 March will address issues such as heritage aquiline coast (by archaeologist Municipal Juan de Dios Hernández);

Underwater archeology (by the expert in underwater archeology Juan Pinedo);

and the main legal aspects of underwater cultural heritage (by the Legal Defense Ministry Colonel Rafael Ruiz Manteca).

With regard to the exhibition, the curator of the same, Jerome Martinez, noted that "it may be a collection of 12 unpublished photographs of Juan Sebastian Elcano the period between 1,928 and 1,987 and a collection of paintings of Jose Maria Falgas "
