The City of Eagle commemorates the 8M recalling that equality requires a permanent commitment (08/03/2016)

"The commemoration of 8M is an opportunity to draw attention to the work and effort of many women who, individually and collectively, fighting from different areas to ensure that women and men enjoy the same opportunities. But it is also the time to remember that the equality requires commitment and permanent work to be an expression of the sum of wills and actions of public authorities, civil society organizations and citizens ".

With these words concluded the institutional manifesto this morning on the occasion of International Women's Day, was read in the Consistory aquiline by the mayor of Equality, Isabel Maria Torrente, the mayor of Celebration, Encarnacion Navarro, as well as representatives of different local associations such as the Association of Widows, Homemakers, Amia, AECC, or Happy Breastfeeding Association Against Gender Violence.

The day of 8M was preceded by an extensive program of activities from the Department of Equality are scheduled on the occasion of this day.
