The government team opposes the closure of the Center for Adult Education proposed the Autonomous Community (11/03/2016)

The mayor of Education has called "cuts" a measure that from the regional government described as "rationalization" and that among other things includes the elimination of five strains, including Eagles despite this being a center "with a number high and even enrollment waiting list "

The mayor of Education, Vicente Ruiz, met this morning with the heads of the Center for Adult Education to address such a troubling issue for the town as is the possible closure of this center in Aguilas;

something to which, Ruiz claimed, "the government team does not intend to sit idly by."

The news of the suppression of this center is highlighted in a document from the Ministry of Education entitled Reorganization Plan Lifelong Education in recent days have echoed different regional media and has subsequently seen by the City of Eagles.

The document, prepared by the Regional Government of the Autonomous Community of Murcia, referred, among other measures that the Ministry of Education of the Region of Murcia calls "rationalization" and that the mayor of Education prefers to call "cuts" the abolition of five STRAINS (Centers for Adult Education) including Eagles, and that these are assumed by the Institutes of Secondary Education, for the next academic year 2016-17 and seven for the course 2017-18 with what the current network of centers would be reduced to five in municipalities with more than 50,000 inhabitants.

One point for the mayor of Education of the City of Eagle is "incomprehensible", especially considering the aquiline center "has a large number of students and even waiting lists, which would make more sense than what would raise the Ministry of Education was an extension of it and not suppression. "

Also, Ruiz has shown surprised by the way in which the Ministry has developed this situation.

"At no time have contacted the council nor the management of the Centre of Education for Adults. We have learned through the press and that's something the less strange because it does not seem very logical that when they go to take such drastic as this did not consult with key affected "measures.

Finally the mayor has advanced to the government team PSOE and IU the City of Eagle will raise the regular plenary session of March a motion urging the Ministry of Education to promote adult education, besides maintaining the current location and the existing supply .
