Concludes the cycle Eagles and maritime archaeological heritage (11/03/2016)

Yesterday ended after three days the lecture series Eagles and maritime archaeological heritage since last Tuesday was developing in the House of Culture Francisco Rabal.

A project that started up the Department of Culture by the Chair of Naval History at the University of Murcia, which was completed with a photographic and pictorial exhibition on the ship Juan Sebastian Elcano which can still be visited.

The mayor of Culture, Lucia Hernandez, who has been present in all of them stressed the importance of "showing the public the rich heritage that has our coast as well as the need for its study, conservation and enhancement."

To do this, on the stage of the House of Culture have been enjoying the presentations of the municipal archaeologist Juan de Dios Hernandez, also an archaeologist Juan Pinedo Reyes and the legal colonel of the Ministry of Defense and specialist in underwater cultural heritage Rafael Ruiz Manteca .

The program was completed with the open day of minesweepers Tajo, belonging to the Spanish Army, whose lieutenant commander and commander, Jaime Muñoz-Delgado, handed the mayor a commemorative plaque of this visit.
