Children, young and old flocked to the hiking trail "Environment and Consumer Affairs" (16/05/2016)

About sixty people, including children, young and old, went to another activity since March are developing to commemorate the 30th anniversary of creation of the Municipal Office of Consumer Information (OMIC): this time it was an interesting and participatory route foot called "Environment and Consumer Affairs" from Calabardina to Cabo Cope, culminating in the beach cleanup Ensenada de la Fuente.

About sixty people attended the call made upon registration, by the councilman of Consumption and the Environment, Isabel Torrente, who also participated in the activity.

To highlight the enthusiastic presence of the components of the Scout Group Severo Montalvo, who came with a large group of children in his Pack, Troop and Unit Esculta, who enjoyed working in all the activities.

During the tour, about four kilometers, city officials explained to attendees routes and geological characteristics of the place, especially the flora and fauna in the area, its location and utilities, as well as risks of plant survival and animals, especially those resulting from persistent drought in the region, and its influence on the ecosystem aquiline.

Upon reaching the beach area it was held in Ensenada de la Fuente selective waste collection, which was coordinated by the Navy Cope Association for Active and Sustainable Tourism.

One of its representatives gave a talk on the ground about the impact of waste that can be found in the place, also effected a quantitative analysis to be integrated as statistical part in a European project on the level of pollution afflicting the Mediterranean coast, its characteristics and causes.

With the distribution of snacks culminated a playful and committed time consumption and the environment, with attendees Eagles and other municipalities.
