Children, stars of the opening of the first square designed by the residents of Eagles (24/10/2016)

"Make Eagles among all is one of the premises of the government team and since the idea was from which was thought to offer residents a real chance to decide what they wanted for a place that after many years of neglect needed a performance improvement, "he assured the mayor of Citizen Participation

Children became the protagonists of the opening of the Victims of Terrorism square;

recently renovated space from the proposals that the locals themselves have been circulated to the City Council through the various channels of citizen participation.

The event, which was attended, among others, the mayor of Eagle, Mari Carmen Moreno, and the mayor of Citizen Participation, Luis Lopez, gathered in this square located in the Las Majadas-Paddles to a large number of neighbors who enjoyed this unique festival set in the sea.

The day began with a symbolic ceremony in tribute to victims of terrorism, which give name to this aquiline square, where children printed their painted hands and his signature on a large cylinder in memory of all those who lost their lives in terrorist attacks.

Then it opened the playground "Pirate" dominated by a large whale by the aquiline grafitero "Bones" from elements that already existed in the square and with paintings donated by the company aquiline Pintamar.

"Make Eagles among all is one of the premises of the government team and since the idea was from which was thought to offer residents a real chance to decide what they wanted for a place that after many years of neglect needed a performance improvement, "assured the mayor of Citizen Participation.

In this sense Lopez took the opportunity to remind citizens of the importance of "being an active part of the municipal boards participating in them and highlighting thus their voice to the local administration".

Parallel to this inauguration was developed, in the same square, the First Assembly of Participatory Budgeting under the slogan What if we decide what to spend the money of all among all ?, which sums up the spirit of this initiative, which aims to involve citizens of what affects them directly.

So attendees could express their proposals for the next budgets, Lopez claimed, "will be developed bearing in mind the commitment to transparency and citizen participation of the government team."
