The PP of Águilas presents to the plenary a motion to incorporate the local police to the system of monitoring of cases of gender violence (20/07/2017)

• The Popular Municipal Group submits to the Ordinary Plenary of July a motion to encourage the incorporation of the local police force into the "system for the comprehensive monitoring of cases of gender violence" in the municipality.

The spokeswoman of the Municipal People's Group, Isabel Soler has informed that her group will present to the plenary this month a motion to "incorporate the Local Police Corps of the City to the" System of Integral Monitoring of cases of gender violence, "and approve the Model of an Agreement of Collaboration with the Ministry of the Interior, as well as to initiate the processing of the file through the corresponding Unit of Coordination or Violence attached to the Delegation of the Government in the CC.AA "

It has also asked the Mayor to make a collaboration agreement between the City and the Ministry of Interior to formalize the incorporation referred to in the agreement first and any necessary steps to formalize it "

According to Soler, "institutional coordination is also a key factor in achieving the objectives of the Act and achieving greater protection for women victims of abuse. Coordination is one of the most effective means of eradicating these antisocial behaviors because it serves To reinforce prevention, increase awareness and social awareness, allow the denunciation facility, a comprehensive and personalized care of the victim, as well as the control of the abuser "

That is why it calls for this commitment to work together to improve systems for combating gender-based violence and to reach a State Pact in this area.

Thus, the Senate, following the presentation of a Motion for a Motion of the Popular Parliamentary Group, signed by all the Groups of the House, approved an institutional declaration at the session of the General Commission of the Autonomous Communities held on 27 March, section 3.2 of which proposes:

"To review and reinforce the current protocols to improve both the protection of women victims of gender-based violence and their children and early detection to prevent aggression from occurring, for which it is necessary to guarantee the maintenance of the network of Direct attention to the victims at all levels, especially in the local administration for being the closest to the citizens "

The Ministry of the Interior has drawn up a Municipal Collaboration Agreement for the cooperation and collaboration of the Local Police in the System for the Integral Monitoring of Victims, which is a valuable tool for the fight against gender violence.

Finally, he said that "this council can not pass up the opportunity to ratify this Agreement, show their active participation against this kind of crimes and their absolute rejection of the existence of these crimes of sexist violence that often occur in privacy Family where the victim is weaker "
