The City Council allocates more than 198,000 euros in different actions and projects for the "back to school" (07/09/2017)

Aquiline schoolchildren today returned to the classrooms, after the summer holidays, in a day that has developed without incidents, except for the fifteen-minute strike called by the AMPA of the Mediterranean school.

The mayor of Aguilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, stressed that "public schools have opened their doors with all the actions that are the responsibility of the City Council completed" and recalled that the Consistory aquiline has invested in these last two months about 90,000 euros to finance, in all public schools, painting activities, paving locksmithing, improvements to sports tracks, fencing works and installations;

"assuming from the City Council, in most of the things, competences that go beyond maintenance, which is what we are obliged to."

It should be noted, on the other hand, that a large number of schoolchildren who have returned to school today benefit from the Bank of Books launched for the third consecutive year by the Government Team, with an annual budget of 70,000 euros.

Specifically in this course are the students of 4 ° of Primary who will enjoy free books, joining a Book Bank that, thanks to the involvement of the Ampas and schools, currently covers almost all students from elementary school.

The municipal aid in the field of Education is completed this year with 25,000 euros earmarked for Scholarships from 0 to 3 years;

5,700 euros in mobility grants;

and 7,300 euros in Scholarships for Erasmus students.
