The City Council continues its improvement of the various parks and gardens of the municipality of Águilas.
Right now he is immersed in the tree pruning of parks and green areas of the municipality, having already completed the so-called pruning of alignment trees.
Specifically, it is specimens of orange, ficus, eucalyptus, Ligustrum and Callistemon, among others.
The work is carried out by European-certified pruners equipped with all the security measures necessary to carry out their work, always giving priority to their safety and that of the citizens who pass near these specimens.
Among the 3,000 specimens currently held by the municipality of Águilas, more than 200 must be highlighted in the Labradorcico industrial estate, almost a hundred of them in the Avenida Juan Pablo II, more than 40 in the Europa School and in the Las Lomas center. more than 60 trees in the Plaza de España.
Works carried out by a team of about seven people whose main goal is to return the splendor to all the trees of the municipality of Águilas in its almost 600,000 square meters of existing green areas.
These tasks are in addition to the reforms already carried out in the irrigation system of the green areas as well as the different works, programmed in a calendar, that the STV Gestión concession company is carrying out in the municipality of Águilas.
