Next Friday starts the fourth edition of the Gastronomic Days of the Red Shrimp of Eagles (18/04/2018)

Creating a gastronomic tourism experience encompassed in the marine environment, improving the positioning of Águilas through a differentiating product, and boosting and increasing the tourist offer of the destination in the low season are the main objectives of the IV Gastronomic Days of the Red Prawn of Eagles placed in march for HosteÁguilas, in collaboration with the City Council of Águilas, the Tourism Institute of the Region of Murcia and Estrella Levante.

An action that will start next Friday and that was presented this morning by the mayor of Tourism of the City of Águilas, Ginés Desiderio Navarro, the director of the Institute of Tourism of the Region of Murcia, Manuel Fernández-Delgado, and the president of the Hotel and Tourism Association of Águilas, Vicente Sánchez.

For nineteen consecutive days, ten local restaurants will offer tasting menus composed, at least, of three starters, a main dish and dessert, accompanied by different wineries in the Region of Murcia and Estrella Levante beer with prices that range between 30 and 50 euros by diner and with the common note of using the red shrimp of Águilas as a central ingredient of the dishes;

In addition, the adhered cafeterias will offer a € 3.50 cocktail.

The program included guided visits to museums and sea interpretation centers, boat trips, tourist packages in lodgings and a conference related to the art of the fishery of the Red Prawn of Eagles by the doctor in charge. Science and Biology Pedro Baños that will take place next Sunday, April 22 at 12:00 in CIMAR.

In parallel, HosteÁguilas will launch a raffle for a two-person break at the Puerto Juan Montiel Hotel through the Facebook social network.

During the presentation, Vicente Sanchez wanted to highlight the importance of the culinary product as an element of tourism development, positioning the town and the region with distinctive gastronomic experiences.

For his part, the mayor of Tourism has highlighted "the importance of promoting gastronomic tourism in Águilas, especially when we have a product of such quality and recognition as is the red shrimp".
