Mulberries, orange trees and shrubs will give a renewed image to different streets of the municipality (20/04/2018)

The green areas of the municipality of Águilas continue to grow and improve.

Proof of this are the planned actions in different locations with the planting of two alignments of ten copies of bitter orange trees, responding to neighborhood requests that requested the creation of new shaded areas.

"The ultimate goal of this action is to continue improving the current conditions of different green areas and streets of the municipality, so that neighbors can enjoy them while increasing the shadow spaces and get a new vision of the landscaping that the municipality of Águilas has ", assures the mayor of Service Provider Companies, Isabel Fernández.

The places where it will act will be:

• Horacio Fernández Inguanzo Street: a row of five bitter orange trees will be planted to improve the physiognomy of this site, within the forestry campaign planned by the City of Águilas.

• Velarde Street: conditioning of a parterre in which are going to place various types of shrub plant that give a new image to the area.

• Plaza de la Región de Murcia: removal of trees in poor condition (tipuanas) and planting instead of five mulberries without fruit that will provide an increase in shade.

• José María López Méndez Square: another five orange trees will be planted by professionals of the STV Gestión concessionary company in an alignment that currently lacks any type of copy.

In this way, explains Fernández, he continues betting on the care and constant maintenance of the spaces that Águilas has, while looking for ways to continue embellishing the different zones even more.
