The City Council strengthens the use of cars with liquefied gas for the maintenance of the parks and gardens of Águilas (26/04/2018)

"We have made a clear commitment to the use of two vehicles with LPG (liquefied petroleum gas), in this way, we achieve a clear reduction in maintenance costs, we do not leave char residues that soil the oil, there are fewer breakdowns and more important is that it carries a reduction importance of environmental pollution ", explains the mayor of Service Provider Companies, Isabel Fernndez.

Some tourisms that are currently being used in the parks and gardens service for daily tasks and of great use such as the management of waste and its variants: remains of the lawn cutting, pruning of shrubs, the realization of balonas or, among others, the movement of different machinery from one point to another in the municipality.

This fuel, which has been bet by the City Council and the concessionaire company STV Gestin, is 36% less CO2 emissions than coal, 15% less than using gasoline and 10% also below if we compare it with a diesel .

But there are more advantages for citizens such as halving the noise produced by a diesel car, added to a lower maintenance cost compared to gasoline cars, since it has less vibrations.

Thus, from the Consistory is still committed to the ecological care of our municipality while developing the usual tasks of beautification and maintenance of the different green areas.
