AVA calls for the resignation of the mayor and his brother Councilman fecal discharges (14/08/2010)

The break occurred at the pumping station Eagles wastewater has caused thousands of gallons of fecal discharges have gone to sea, forcing the closure of the two largest and most popular beaches on the coast aquiline, with the consequent risk public health.

It has also caused sea and land pollution, disruption to thousands of residents, users, tourists and holidaymakers, significant economic loss or damage to trade in the area, and a serious deterioration of the tourist image of the municipality.

Given all this and in view also of poor management applied to place the event, the Neighborhood Association AVA-Forum Aquilegia Eagles Citizen requests:

1 .- Both Mayor Juan Ramirez, as political head, and his brother Juan Pérez García councilman and mayor Public Cleaning, Water and the Environment, shoulder their responsibility for what happened immediately appear at a press conference submit to questions from local media, regional and national retail report of the grounds of having broken and its causes and the damage caused by it; assess and quantify the direct and indirect damage, and enable compensation to the victims.

2 .- That both mayors public apology to all aquiline, residents and visitors.

3 .- That, in view of his manifest incompetence, both to avoid what happened as to have effectively mitigated the consequences, take responsibility for the facts stated and resign immediately from public office.
