Ends comprehensive rehabilitation 'Saltaor Mill' and its surroundings (16/12/2010)

The mayor of Eagles and the Minister of Public Works and Land Management today launched the facilities with an ethnographic museum.

Eagles Mayor, Juan Ramírez Soto and the Minister of Public Works and Planning, José Ballesta, together with other local and regional authorities, inaugurated this morning the recently completed rehabilitation of the "Molino del Saltaor" and its environment.

Gradually, through local contributions and other grants awarded by the Autonomous Community of Murcia, to undertake concrete actions, the City of Eagle has been recovering over recent years, this infrastructure into disuse and its surroundings, with the intention to value this beautiful place today adds to the cultural tourism offer of the city.

Within this action have also been other waterproofing works, fencing and upgrading of the cave adjacent to the house, where he occasionally sits the Virgin del Rocio, as this setting was chosen a few years ago by the Association as Rociera Eagles place of pilgrimage, gathering each May thousands of faithful.

Similarly, a pergola has been built and a rustic wooden footbridge and steel, so that visitors can observe the movement of the propeller of the windmill and see how it transforms the energy from falling water into electricity.

It has done a straight connection between two of the terraces, outdoor lighting placed throughout the farm using solar panels, there has been a store and a bar with the intention of holding a canteen in the future and has installed a wood stove to use the flour obtained from grinding and children on visits to carry out activities of kneading bread.

According to the mayor, the recovery of historical heritage of Eagles and its value remains a constant aguileño consistory and witnessed by the ongoing rehabilitation work sites in the city, as the castle "San Juan de las Aguilas ", the historic facades of the Plaza of Spain or the creation of many museums, which cover a large part of the history and culture of the city, among other outstanding performances.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF "MILL SALAOR"

This infrastructure is one of the most curious relics of the region.
