Beginning the first years of the International University of Mar-Campus Mare Nostrum (12/07/2011)

The mayor of Eagle, Bartholomew Harnández and Course Director of the Universidad del Mar, Manuela Lopez, inaugurated this morning the courses "hematopoietic transplantation and cell therapy: medical remedial" and "Football: leisure, business and more."

The mayor of Eagle, Giménez Hernández Bartolomé, accompanied by the councilman of Culture, Francisco Miguel Martinez, and Course Director of the Universidad del Mar, Manuela Lopez, inaugurated this morning the first two summer courses at the Universidad Internacional del Mar Mare Nostrum-Campus, to be held throughout the week at the Hotel Puerto Juan Montiel.

The first, 30 hours, entitled "hematopoietic transplantation and cell therapy, restorative medicine" and its main objective is the dissemination of knowledge about stem cells and their therapeutic possibilities, with an emphasis on transplant adult stem cells in medicine and repair.

Intended as a forum to discuss scientific and clinical experts investigadoresbásicos cell therapy, in setting out the achievements and challenges in this exciting new area of ​​medicine.

Course objectives are:

Analyze in depth the different types of stem cells, their biological properties and features that allow handling in the laboratory and clinical use.

Meet new types of marrow transplantation, particularly transplantation of umbilical cord cells as well as the impact of modulation of the immune system results.

Discuss the main applications of cell therapy to repair organs and tissues.

With formative period of 20 hours, the second course is titled "Football: leisure, business and more" and focuses on the most controversial aspects of Spanish football, from a legal perspective, examining systematically the key judgments of our courts .

To this end, we analyze the situation of the youth response to the termination clauses and validity.

We study the ownership of image rights, meaning the right to effective occupation, the extension of contracts, the impact of free movement, the tax system, permanent disability, the accrual of premiums, limits privacy, the issue of parties in open or the calling of strikes, among other issues.

Eagles host during the summer of 2011 a total of nine courses in addition to the Lecture "Looking to the Sea."
