Long day of work for the Red Cross lifeguards assigned to the City Plan COPLA Eagles (26/08/2011)

The wind that lashed the coast Lebeche hawk during the day on Friday August 26 forced to redouble their efforts to the Red Cross lifeguards assigned to COPLA Plan of the City of Eagles.

The intervention began at 12.10 hours in the morning when a hiker was suffering from a dislocated shoulder in the strut in the area west of Cabezo Cope.

Immediately moved to the scene the rescue vessel based Calabardina who evacuated the injured to the pier of the hamlet hooked to later be transferred to the Health Center North Eagles radiodiagnostic test that will determine the extent of injury and transfer was carried out by own means.

In the afternoon, the wind Lebeche forced to increase the level of surveillance on the beaches of the city with the expectation that the bottom currents put at risk the safety of a user, as it did.

At 18.05 hours the rescuers of the Guard at La Cabaña dove into the water to get safely to a child of 4 years at the current and swept out to sea, thanks to the rapid and effective intervention of members of the Red Cross Plan assigned to COPLA, needed no further medical care.

Ten minutes later a call from the Provincial Centre of Murcia Red Cross requested the departure of the vessel Level B LS Titania, attached to Salvage, towing a boat of 12 meters without a government that was to grip the anchor funding as a result of the storm, and was in danger of crashing against the breakwater of the Yacht Club in the city.

The boat was unmanned at the time and was pulled to safety in the fishing port Traveller without consequences and without damage.
