The 'eco-schools Coastlines' is close to the windmills of the village (16/11/2011)

These extracurricular activities are promoted by the Department of Education and the Club Nautico de Aguilas.

Students in the program "Coastal Ecoescuela" are making this week a route by two windmills are there in the town, the "Sagrera" and "Los Alacranes".

A group of students belonging to schools of "The Rubial" and "Our Lady of Sorrows", accompanied by the head coach of Club Nautico, Pedro Juan Perez-Castejón, multiple monitors and have had the opportunity today to learn about its history and operation.

This program, taught Monday through Thursday, from 16'00 to 18'00 pm, aims to foster in students a curiosity about their identity and appreciate the importance of core values ​​that enrich the Eagles, its coastline and its to act with respect for diversity by understanding the environment in which we live.

Develop the relationship with the natural habitat and contribute actively to the protection, preservation and improvement of environment, is one of the purposes of the program involving over 200 schoolchildren from 3 ° to 5 ° of primary education.

Among the purposes of "Coastal Ecoescuela" promoted by the Department of Education and the Club Nautico de Aguilas is also to know the natural heritage through visits to points of special interest, and sailing, making an approach to the medium and their society, developing a caring attitude and respect for the exercise of this right.

The methodology used in these extracurricular activities allows students to learn while having fun by attending guided tours, workshops and excursions, which are complemented by educational work within the school.
