The PSOE ensures that the Budget on Education will condemn to public school, in addition to suffocate schools and families (29/11/2011)

The head of the Socialist Parliamentary Group Education, M ª Carmen Moreno, said that the Budget on Education for next year "will condemn the public school, in addition to suffocate schools and families in general."

Moreno explained that the budget in this area for next year contains a cut of 40 million euros.

Criticized the Ministry's Budget 2012 bring without paying everything you owe even 2011.

"It has provisions for payables. Those who are faring worse because of this debt are the schools, since they have only gained 40 per cent of their share for this year."

This has blown up some alarms, because many schools have already warned they can not cope with the electricity bills, telephone and heating.

"We believe that the educational indicators in the region are not precisely to make cuts, because the rate of schooling in the region at 16 and 17 years is below average, we are the second community in the queue in spending per pupil in non-university education. "

More cuts

Also, we are third from bottom in the dropout rate, where only surpass us Ceuta, Melilla and the Balearics.

These budgets also suffer cuts in staff costs of EUR 17 million, so it will have to explain how they will do.

Are you planning to increase the teaching hours of teachers?

There is an impressive drop in operating costs of vocational training centers and the game disappears scholarships for trainees in the workplace.

Regarding primary education, Moreno said that we still have the same built 14 primary schools for years and also reduce their operating costs.

He clarified that the new primary schools built in recent years, are the work of the Government of Spain, through the Education Plan 3.

Another program to get cut is the complementary services bus transportation and dining.

In the first, cut nearly 3 million euros and it must follow with regard to 2011, a total of 12 million, as budgeted for 2012.

Regarding bonolibro reported that the school year started with a cut in regional aid for the purchase of textbooks that affects 70 percent of school because bonolibro elimination and reduction of 65 percent of budget to free textbooks, which is still unpaid.

In the special education program disappear agreements with the municipalities of Murcia, Cartagena and Molina de Segura.

Regarding investments, the Socialist deputy noted that the educational infrastructure project fell by 50 percent, from 3,240,000 to 1,500,000, which remain in the air under construction centers.

"Given that the social pact concluded in 2012, goes beyond a lack of foresight, and that good times were not made the necessary investments."

In summary, for the Socialist parliamentary group this is a very credible budget full of cuts and too much debt.

In addition, this budget is bound to change, and that the Ministry has not paid what they should be 2011.
