The Civil Guard detained a dedicated person to commit fraud through ATM (30/11/2011)

So far three have been solved crimes committed at ATMs of Eagles

The Civil Guard of Murcia has developed a research aimed at eradicating a number of fraud committed through ATMs, which has led to the arrest of a person in Eagles, as the alleged perpetrator of the crime of fraud.

So far three have been detected crimes policing known as the "cash trapping" in the town of Aguilas.

The Civil Guard initiated an investigation to detect the commission of several thefts of cash through ATMs located in banks Eagles.

The first investigations allowed to know the modus operandi used to commit these crimes, police knowledge as "cash trapping".

This criminal typology begins with the modification of the normal operation of the ATM.

In the ticket dispensing mechanism is replaced by another original piece that prevents the user from getting the money from the operation, leaving the notes held until the suspect finally returns to the cashier to collect their booty and correct the change.

The research developed fully identified to an individual of Ukrainian origin as responsible for the crimes investigated, so that started a search that culminated in the location, arrest and subsequent remand in custody.

The analysis of information obtained in the research process helped to clarify, so far, three counts of fraud.

Detained:

As part of this research has been arrested an individual on suspicion of several counts of fraud, identified as:

- Ukraine, 33, who lives in Murcia.

The proceedings initiated have been made available to the Court of Instruction number 7 of Lorca (Murcia).

To facilitate research, banks to detect such changes in their ATMs illegal should immediately contact the Guardia Civil on the phone 062, avoiding the handling of cash subject to this type of crime.
