The City of Eagle develops a Work Plan for the current year (29/02/2012)

The construction of a fairground or the suitability of new tourist routes are some of the planned actions.

The Municipal Government of the City of Eagle has developed an ambitious investment plan and actions for 2012, both municipal and funding from other agencies.

This program brings together a long list of new infrastructure for the town, some of which are already started and others will for this annuity.

Among the works that are currently running, even many of them nearing completion, are: the renovation of the Casa de Cultura "Francisco Rabal" a landmark building that houses the municipal library, a multipurpose hall and several rooms for different purposes, and the room-museum "Joseph Matrán" and new units dedicated to the famous aquiline player.

Another new building, which will be made available to citizens in short, is the Interpretation Center of the Sea and Fisheries Ecoescuela included within the Tourism Competitiveness Plan "Eagles, Sea and Fisheries."

This is the adequacy of a local municipal building 600 m2 and a building annex, 100 m2, crowned by a fishing boat of 20 meters.

Visitors can access the local museum on the other hand, where the multimedia content will be placed on the work of the fishermen and the reproduction of a typical workers, among other things, establishing a tour that will continue through the ship's structure to reach what is considered the main attraction of the Centre, a large aquarium with fish species in the area and the reproduction of our seabed.

According to Councilman Municipal Goods and Works, Diego Martínez Parra, the chapter closes works already started with the rehabilitation of the facade of the Casino, the Bridge of the Snakes and the Square of Our Lady of Fatima.

As for new projects, Martínez Parra has highlighted several actions:

Restoration of the Plaza del Doctor Fortun "The Placetón" includes pedestrian pathways preference, sites dedicated to catering establishments in the environment and rest areas with the inclusion of pergolas that offer shade areas in summer times.

The Plaza will be equipped children's play area and open space for the conduct of public events, will also have flower beds and tree pits with perennials and seasonal trees, artificial turf, streetlights and lighted beacons and new street furniture, among other things decorative.

Construction of a fairgrounds and parking next to the Garden of Don Jorge: You will need an investment of approximately € 400,000 in its first phase, and has already commissioned the drafting of the preliminary draft.

Construction and improvement of new tourist routes: Includes the creation of a lookout in the San Juan Castillo of the Eagles and one in Mill Sagrera.

The latter action will be joined by building a small restaurant and a multipurpose room.

The Mill "The Scorpions" and its environment will also benefit from various works of adequacy, as the hillock Robles Street, which will be built on the said route.

These projects will culminate in the works of a promenade next to the lighthouse and the paving of the road parallel to Calabardina.

The paving of various streets and roads, among which is the section that runs from Pocico to the entrance to the AP7, the construction of a nursery school on the street or new costumes Murcia Soccer Field, "Brothers Buitrago" are just some of the many measures included in this investment plan that will run the City of Eagle, despite the tough economic times we are experiencing.

All this, with the sole purpose of improving the image of the city and citizen services.
