The Civil Guard dismantled a criminal organization in Eagles (19/07/2012)

The Civil Guard in the region of Murcia has developed "Operation Picoesquina" that has resulted in a score of 37 arrests, resulting from the dismantling of a criminal organization operating in and around Eagle.

The organization is the largest criminal group that locality engaged on internal theft and even house to steal marijuana plants to drug traffickers.

The criminal network, perfectly structured had several ramifications coordinated acting and was among the detained two minors.

The investigations began with the social alarm raised by the high number of crimes against property caused in the town of Aguilas during the month of February, which allowed the researchers to reach one of the members of the group and from there to other components .

Modus operandi:

After intense weeks of work could define a structure of about the organization, which was divided into three branches.

The first branch consisted of common criminals aged between 24 and 30.

The latter was composed of young people between 16 and 21 who are primarily engaged in performing indoor housing theft, theft in public and use of mopeds.

Following the performances, it was found that the organization changed its objectives and focused their efforts on stealing marijuana plants, all knowing that the victims of a robbery in which marijuana withdraws will not report the matter in any case, as they are aware that they are developing an illegal activity such as drug cultivation.

Defined the "modus operandi" of the organization, the next step was to find the marijuana plantation where they had carried out the theft.

It was located in a rural area of ​​Huercal-Overa (Almería), proceeding to perform a registry entry, which seized a total of 730 plants of cannabis sativa (marijuana) as well as various materials for cultivation and planting care (fertilizers, light bulbs, heat, precision scales, etc..).

In two of the entries and records in floors in which the substance was located stolen, found a total of four kilograms of stolen marijuana, eight grams of cocaine and material used for the sale and preparation of the drug (precision scales , simulated guns, etc.)..

The operation allowed the dismantling of the quota fundamental regard to the realization of property crime and a major in regard to offenses against public health.

The total number of offenses cleared up is 20 offenses of burglary in the things (inside housing), 7 counts of robbery or theft of vehicle use (motorbikes), 3 offenses against public health (disarticulating a plantation of marijuana and two drug stores), 3 counts of robbery with violence and intimidation and one count of conspiracy.
