August starts with 'Orange Alert' in anticipation of high temperature (31/07/2012)

The departments of Public Safety and Health of the City of Eagle reported that since the 13'00 pm to 19:00 pm today, Tuesday, July 31, our region is in "Yellow Alert" in anticipation of high temperatures that can reach 36 ° C.

These temperatures may increase to 40 ° C, with a probability of between 40 and 70%, from 12'00 to 20'00 pm tomorrow Wednesday, August 1, in the Altiplano, Valle del Guadalentín Lorca, Aguilas, Northwest and Vega del Segura, so it will activate the "Orange Alert" in anticipation of a heat wave.

According to the Meteorological Agency (AEMET), this adverse event will continue during the day on Thursday, August 2, going back to "Yellow Alert", between 13'00 and 20'00 hours, with temperatures that can reach 38 ° C, in the Northwest Valley Guadalentín, Lorca and Aguilas.

Given these forecasts, the departments of Health and Public Safety of the consistory aquiline offer the following tips:

Stay off the street in the hottest hours.

Avoid sports activities in the heat of the day, if you have to take precautions.

Cover your head with a hat and wear light-colored clothing.

Do not stand or allow anyone in the car with the windows closed.

Drink plenty of water, juices and soft drinks, though not thirsty, and do not take alcohol.

Stay in the coolest places in the house.

Take baths and showers.

Avoid hot foods and heavy.

Increase consumption of fruits and vegetables.
