All local political groups represented in the City of Eagle (PP, PSOE and Mixed), have signed a joint proposal that will lead to regular full month of July.
The plenary session will be held on Thursday and it will read the following letter:
The Ministry of Justice recently issued a proposed Draft Law on Judicial Organisation by a panel of experts.
In it, are expected to disappear from the judicial, as we know them today.
But the most serious and detrimental to the citizens of our town, is that the disappearance of judicial offices located both in our city (Magistrates Court), as in Lorca, the aquiline would have to travel 100 kilometers to access to justice services .
This modification of the judicial map entail a departure from justice regarding the citizen, may violate the right to effective judicial protection enshrined in Article 24 of the Spanish Constitution.
We believe in an approach of Justice to the aquiline, why continue to claim judicial presence in our town, because the volume of court cases from Eagles almost reaches 35% of total managed in the Courts of First Instance and Instruction and Criminal Lorca.
For all the above, the full City Council unanimously agreed Eagles: show their rejection of the aforementioned proposed Draft Law on Judicial Organisation and request the Ministry of Justice that, in the new model of justice, provide for the establishment of a judicial instance and instruction permanently in the city of Eagle.
