The opera "Carmen" by Georges Bizet will be performed tomorrow at the Eagles Auditorium (21/10/2013)

The Auditorium and Congress Palace "Infanta Elena" Eagles host tomorrow's representation known opera "Carmen" by Georges Bizet, in charge of the company Operísima, in collaboration with the Grand Opera of Rousse (Bulgaria).

"Carmen" is one of the most famous operas in history, with a libretto by Henri Meilhac and Ludovic Halévy, separated into four acts and based on the novel by Prosper Mérimée.

It premiered in Paris on March 3, 1875, months after the death of its author.

The love, passion and jealousy are the predominant components of this work with fatal outcome.

It is set in Seville, about the year 1820, and the protagonist is a beautiful gypsy.

Carmen is jailed after a fight, but after seduces Don José, the what escapes with her to the mountains, giving up Michelle, his former love, and deserting the army.

But in the end, Carmen falls for the toreador Escamillo and Don José, blind jealousy, murder.

Over a hundred people will participate in this show, including choirs, soloists and orchestra, which will be on stage at 20:30.
