The Official Chronicler of Eagle publishes a new book (17/12/2013)

This morning's new book Official Chronicler of Eagles was presented at a press conference during a ceremony held in the Consistory aquiline and was conducted by the Councillor for Culture and Heritage, Francisco Miguel Martínez Haro, and author, Luis Díaz Martínez.

The publication, which ranked fifteenth in a series of books written by Díaz Martínez on the history of the town, entitled "Historical Notes on the plaiting in Águilas. XVIII, XIX and XX Centuries" and he collected a number of text, photographs and documents that reflect the importance that the esparto in the resort, from its foundation, where he ranked as one of the main sources of income for its inhabitants.

In the epilogue also quotes engraved on facts related to the first definitive Eagles Hall, established in 1834 under the leadership of Antonio Gines Romero Morales, as well as appear the next seven years.

Focus on the rush, the Chronicler recaps since 1770, when the Soria family becomes the bulwark of this office in Águilas, followed, in early nineteenth century by Pedro Sanchez-Fortun and Pedro "El Lobo" two esparteros which were invaluable in those years.
