The Eagles Carnival is preparing to welcome thousands of people with a full emergency plan (17/02/2014)

The Eagles Carnival prepares for the visit of more than 300,000 people over the last fortnight this Fiesta of National Tourist Interest, which this year will take place from February 22 to March 8.

This morning at the aquiline presented Consistory "Specific Emergency Plan Eagles Carnival 2014" during the course of a press conference that was conducted by the mayor of Eagle, Bartolome Hernandez, the mayor of Health, Ana María Miñarro, the Councillor for Public Safety, Francisco Clemente, the local police sergeant, Jose Luis Sanchez, and the coordinator of the Municipal Emergency Services and Civil Protection, Pedro Sánchez.

According to the authorities, the team that will participate in this Plan shall consist of a number well above the hundred people belonging to different bodies: Municipal Emergency Services, Civil Protection, Private Security, Local Police, Fire, Technical Services, Civil Guard, Red Cross, 061, SUE and other public and private services.

As for material resources, will have 75 vehicles and 2 hospitals (one campaign and other emergencies) and 200 stations radiofrequency Center Emergency Coordination of Civil Protection and the Advanced Command Post (PUMA) to deal with any eventuality over the phone 112.

The area of ​​health security, mainly for those linked to Carnival Night event will be located on the Esplanade Port, facing the Plaza de Isaac Peral.

As in previous years, will be equipped with a field hospital and other materials and human resources.

Another important fact is the relation to safety and security device, comprising local police and Civil Guard, which is active in the town and in rural areas during the celebration of the carnival events and in the hours before and after ending thereof.

This year, the security device will cover the school parades, which take place around the different schools of the town, an activity that has been taking popularity over the past editions of the Carnival, to become an event that brings together several hundred people.

Moreover, local authorities have indicated that special bus services and taxis, which run for 24 hours on days of increased influx of visitors and until 2 am the rest, which will serve different hotel establishments and outlying areas of the municipality.

Municipal officials also wanted to acknowledge the assistance of volunteer Red Cross and Civil Protection, which will move to the city from different municipalities to strengthen the security device, while cooperation of citizens asked for everything elapses satisfactorily.
