Eagles celebrates Carnival with a book and a documentary film (03/03/2014)

The general director of the Institute for Tourism, Enrique Ujaldón, today introduced the book and the documentary film 'Carnavaleños.

30 Years of Modern Eagles Carnival 'ceremony also attended by the mayor of this town, Bartolomé Hernández, and author of the book, Alfonso Soler.

The book tells the story of the beginning of Carnival parades Eagles, how the characters within it ('Don Carnal', 'Doña Cuaresma', 'Musa' and 'Musson') emerged, what it is and how the drink was recovered typical ('crow'), how was hatched in 1997 the record for the Declaration of National Tourist Interest, which is the 'Carnival Night' and how were the street musicians, the bodies of dancing and children's characters, among others.

It also tells how Carnival was revived in 1983, after several years that was not held, and its evolution over the past 30 years.

Enrique Ujaldón stressed the importance of these parties where the Ministry is working with the City to obtain the statement of International Tourist Interest.

The text and the film offer documents, photographs, interviews, videos and the testimony of a hundred people and people who have been to the Carnival of the town.

The book's foreword is written by actor Jordi Rebellón.

The book and DVD, featuring an indoor aquiline painter, Manuel Coronado, sold in bookstores and through the Facebook page 'Carnavaleños'.
