On Thursday March 20 MEP visited the town and Head of International Policy Izquierda Unida, Willy Meyer, who also lead the organization's candidacy for election to the European Parliament in May.
The local assembly of the United Left-Greens organized for that day a public event entitled "What's Social Democratic and construction of Europe."
It intervened Willy Meyer and José María Ortega, candidate of the United Left-Green Region of Murcia.

At the rally which featured, Meyer noted that the objectives that the United Left here to the May elections is checked out to "convince citizens of the need to democratize the European institutions" whose lack of legitimacy in decision- decisions has increased in recent years as well as "transfer the whole of the European Union's need for the stubborn defense of public services against international coordinated attack suffered by the forces of the Right and Social Democracy."
