Rescued a swimmer washed up on the beach in La Cola Calabardina Aguilas (04/08/2014)

The Guardia Civil of the Region of Murcia, in collaboration with the Red Cross during the evening of Saturday, 02, carried out the relief and subsequent rescue of a swimmer who was several hundred meters from the beach The queue Águilas in Águilas, asking for help because he could not return to the beach due to strong waves and currents of water existing at the time.

About 21 pm last Saturday, the Meritorious received notice that a person who was seeking help at sea in a considerably far from the edge of the beach of La Cola Calabardina town of Aguilas area.

Agents patrol prevention of public safety came quickly to the point of incidence and were informed by other bathers that there was a person resting on a buoy and asking for help because they could not approach the beach by strong waves and streams.

Without hesitation, one of the policemen jumped into the sea and, after swimming across some 300 meters, approached to where the bather was.

The officer found that the swimmer was in good condition, but had a high state of nervousness and exhaustion, so he remained with him to assist him and reassure him until the rescue culminated.

Meanwhile, the other civil guard stood on the bank to notify the Central Operational Service of the Guardia Civil in the situation they were in and apply the appropriate means to carry out the rescue.

The Civil Guard has had the collaboration of Red Cross

Shortly after they arrived at the beach an ambulance and two vehicles of the Red Cross with a dozen troops that were coordinated with the civil guards to carry out a successful rescue swimmer a Spanish man aged 52 and his transfer to earth.

Apparently the rescued was in the water next to her daughter, a minor.

The latter could leave the land area, but his father was swept away by the waves and currents offshore until he was helped by the Civil Guard and later rescued in collaboration with staff from the Red Cross.
