Auditorium and Congress Palace Infanta Doña Elena in Águilas hosts, since last night, an exhibition of paintings of Jesus Carasa, which, under the title "Real as a Dream," will be open until the 7th of September, Tuesday to Sunday , 19 to 22 hours.
The inauguration was done by the Councillor for Culture and Heritage aquiline Consistory, Francisco Miguel Martínez, who was accompanied by other local authorities and guests, including the painter Manuel Coronado, a personal friend of the complainant.
Carasa, born in Logroño, currently residing in Santander, exhibits a total of 28 oil paintings, walking in both the figurative and the abstract by making a few nods to the surreal, as well as interpretations of the great masters of the Renaissance.
After the first sample presented in 2007, this is the second time this self-taught artist exhibits in Águilas, coinciding with the fiftieth anniversary of his foray into the world of painting, an activity that was gaining prominence in his life after a serious accident traffic.
During the opening ceremony, Carasa Jesus invited the public to not look at his painting dark interpretations.
He said: quote the author "to my purpose is not to transmit any message, nor have any anecdote or denounce any injustice, even to invent some symbols that claim to transcendence, but to produce, even once, that shiver, that whiplash poetry, colors and shapes can pass like musical notes. And poetry is, for me, I dare say, as the action of tearing a veil and show, albeit in a flash a higher dimension of the mind or spirit. If you feel that feeling in the contemplation of any of my paintings, my work would be justified and happy, "said the edge.
