This Saturday saw the XXXII International Night Race "Mayor of Eagles", which ran through the streets of the urban center of the city, with the participation of 650 athletes.
The race started at 18:00, with the departure of the pacifiers category (male and female), followed by the procedures: baby, juvenile, kids, cadet, junior, junior, promises, senior and veterans, to a total 8 tests, which concluded around 22 pm with trophy "Mayor of Eagles."
In the senior women's category (5,000 meters), the classification was as follows:
First: Rose Kosgei, of Kenya, with a time of 16.40.
Second: Alicent Jepkosgei, also of Kenya, with a time of 17:08.
Third: Rehima Jewar, Ethiopia, with a time of 17:57.
In the men's senior category (10,000 meters), the podium was made up of:
First: Nicholas Togom of Kenya with a time of 30:13.
Second: Emmanuel Oliaulo of Kenya with a time of 30:16.
Third Aithadi Younes, Morocco, with a time of 31:14.
The awards ceremony was conducted by the mayor of Eagle, Bartolomé Hernández Giménez;
Juan Molina, president of the Athletics Federation of Murcia;
Selectmen and Planning and Women, Isabel Martínez Soler and Maria Patrocinio, respectively.
