25 years of the death of Dolores Ibárruri, historical leader of the Communist Party are met (12/11/2014)

Today 12 November the twenty-fifth anniversary of the death of Dolores Ibárruri, known as "Passion" historic leader of the Communist Party of Spain and the symbol of the anti-Franco resistance is met.

Dolores grew up in a poor family and raised in the focus of major social upheaval of the time, the coalfields.

There, as she used to say, "Life taught me to resist."

Aware of the political situation, by performing readings of the books of the House of the People, it was decided to soldier in the newly formed Communist Party of Spain, where his confirmation came with the advent of the Second Republic.

Was deputy, one of the most prominent leaders of the Popular Front, and after the outbreak of the civil war, a symbol of the anti-fascist resistance, forged the legend of the "Passion" among workers who adopted the slogan its slogan "They shall not pass".

In 1939, after the war, he went into exile.

In 1942, after the death of Comrade Joseph Diaz, he assumed leadership of the PCE as General Secretary, a position he held until 1960.

Regarding the fight against Franco's dictatorship, when he died, the Passion back to his beloved Spain, where he was elected to parliament in the first democratic elections after the civil war.

Dolores, a communist of deep convictions, was a member until the end of his days.

We left a November 12, 1989, at 94 years of age.

25 years ago.

For us, their children, is more than legend and myth, Passion, a flower of the twentieth century, is a living voice in history.

The grouping of PCE and collective UJCE in Eagles will honor the historical communist leader.

As Julio Anguita said at his funeral:
