More than 55,000 people visited in 2014 interpretation centers and museums Eagles (15/01/2015)

This morning, the Councillor for Culture and Heritage of the Consistory aquiline, Francisco Miguel Martinez, released the statistics on the number of regular visitors who have had major cultural enclaves of Eagles in 2014.

As detailed by the mayor, 55,598 people visited last one of the visitor centers and museums in the city, highlighting the importance of cultural offer of the city and the commitment of the government team to offer a product, inviting year and seasonally adjusted fully complementary to the traditional sun and beach.

From the overall number of visits, 17,511 correspond to Castillo San Juan de las Águilas, which has reached its record, exceeding by more than two thousand to 2013, returning to become the most admired historical monument of the town.

Francisco Miguel Martínez explained that these figures do not include those held in Fortaleza extraordinary events, such as concerts or night and dramatized routes, so the actual number of visitors could exceed 20,000, said former councilman.

One of the most frequented areas by outsiders was aquiline and the new Sea Interpretation Centre (CIMAR).

Since opening in just nine months, has managed to capture the attention of 29,020 people, positioning itself as a must see in Eagles.

In addition, more than 6,000 people deeper into the story that reflects the Archaeological Museum of Eagles, maintaining similar to those of recent years data, qualified the Councillor for Culture and Heritage during his speech.

As to the origin of visitors, 15,132 were local, 15,086 from other parts of the region, 16,834 of various regions, 5,412 foreigners and 3,134 did not express their origin.

Spanish tourists with greater presence in these enclaves, Madrid highlights, followed by Andalusia, Catalonia and Valencia.

International visitors are led by the British, French and German, followed by Belgians, Italians, Irish, Austrian and Dutch.
