New Delivery Route Railroad (15/01/2015)

Coinciding with the third Sunday of the month, the Department of Tourism of the City of Eagle held this weekend, a new installment of Route Railroad.

It's free visit and guided by Angel Menchón, member of the Cultural Association of Friends of the Railroad 'The Labradorcico' and expert on trains, which combined the cultural with the playful, placing value on the important existing rail assets in the city.

It will start at 10 am this Sunday, January 18, at the Plaza de Isaac Peral, where the monument to rail (a machine locomotive built in 1889 in Glasgow) is located.

Tour the promenade and you will reach the recently restored Bridge Stove, declared of Cultural Interest, to continue to walk down the lane where several tunnels and ore deposits, one musealized last December are located.

In this same place several viewpoints are, with spectacular views of the bay, and the 'Pier Stove', a majestic mineral loading inaugurated in 1903 by the British East Railway Company.

The tour will continue with a visit to the railway station, in which lies under the Railway Museum which includes a photo and utensils used throughout history exhibition, as well as several model trains in motion, ending with the last stop at the restored 'Casa del Huerto Don Jorge ", a building from the early twentieth century eclectic style, which was the former residence of George Lee Boag, director of the railroad company Lorca-Baza-Eagles between 1913 and 1936 .

Those interested in attending this path, must register with the Office of Tourism, while space tourist train in which participants move.
