The House of Culture hosts the exhibition Eagles 'Metamorphosis' by Pedro Juan Rabal (19/01/2015)

The Exhibition Hall Manuel Coronado House of Culture Francisco Rabal hosts since last weekend, the exhibition 'Metaforfosis' aquiline painter Pedro Juan Rabal, which was inaugurated by the Councillor for Culture and Heritage of the City of Eagle, Francisco Miguel Martínez, accompanied by other officials and guests.

In this, his third solo exhibition at the resort, Rabal wanted to break away from what we were used so far.

Coastal landscapes, everyday scenes and traditional festivals have evolved into a more intimate and surreal painting, with nods to cubism and expressionism, that transport us to an inner world of diverse cultures.

The Metamorphosis of Pedro Juan shows us a more aggressive and transgressive style, which brings us a pictorial carnival full of clear references to the painting of Lucian Freud, Van Gogh, Dali, Michelangelo and even some classical sculptors.

Literature and philosophy also share the limelight with the aforementioned, as well, can contemplate an interpretation of Don Quixote of Cervantes, Also Sprach Zarathustra by Nietzsche, and even Kafka's Metamorphosis, the title of the exhibition.

This metamorphosis is evident in the execution of the paintings.

Everyday items and traditions still appear in the work of this author, but this time in a more surreal way, integrating with classical elements.

The strong stroke of the artist and his creative quest for personal and artistic experimentation, is at its best when contemplating pictures as 'Camouflage' where a chameleon joins the painter's palette, or 'Dialogue with children', self in which he can be seen talking to himself as a child.

According to Fernando Machado, Doctor of Fine Arts from the Polytechnic University of Valencia, 'Many emerging artists are drawn into market trends and fashions imposed.

Pedro Juan Rabal been known to be true to your inner voice with courage and sincerity needed to even counter, respond to what he claimed his expressive needs'.

The exhibition consists of twenty paintings, will be open until the 10th of February, Monday through Friday from 18-21 pm in the House of Culture Francisco Rabal Eagles.
